About Sally Khoury
Exploring the layered nature of feminine identity.

Sally Khoury is a Lebanese-American artist living and working in Doha, Qatar. She is known for large-scale portrait paintings that explore feminine presence, emotional depth, and inner authority. Her work often features floral elements and partially obscured faces, creating figures that feel grounded, composed, and powerful. By removing individual features such as the eyes and hair, the work shifts focus away from appearance and toward presence, allowing viewers to recognize themselves, or women they know, within the paintings.

Collectors often describe the work as
powerful and difficult to ignore,
pieces that invite closer looking
and continue to reveal themselves over time.
The paintings tend to anchor a space rather than simply decorate it. For many collectors, acquiring her work becomes a way of living with presence, strength, and emotional depth.
Working from her studio in Doha, Sally builds each painting through multiple layers of paint, considered brushwork, and bold color. The result is work that feels both contemporary and enduring in its presence.

Her work has been collected internationally and featured across television and film, appearing in productions for Netflix, HBO, Apple TV+, Prime Video, and CBS. She has exhibited in solo and group shows across Beirut, Dubai, Italy, Qatar, Zurich, and the United States, and is currently represented by galleries in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Costa Rica, and Zurich.

At the center of Sally’s practice is a commitment to creating work that feels personal, grounded, and lasting, reflecting the strength, confidence, and independence of the contemporary woman.

The power of
FEMININE PRESENCE
BEYOND THE CANVAS
In addition to painting, Sally’s practice extends into sculpture, limited-edition prints, and select objects created for gifting and collaboration. Each piece carries the same visual language, attention to detail, and sense of presence found in her paintings, offering collectors different ways to live with the work.
